John H. Higgins: SNL Writer and Member of “Please Don’t Destroy”
Born on November 14, 1995, grew up in Montclair, New Jersey John H. Higgins an American writer and comedian is part of the sketch comedy trio “Please Don’t Destroy”. In 2021, for season 47 the comedy trio group was hired by SNL creator and infamous “Same Letter Effect” matchmaker Lorne Michaels aka Lorne Lipowitz to write on “Saturday Night Live” (SNL).

John H. Higgins is married to stand up comedian Emily Wilson. Wilson’s one-woman show, “FIXED,” delves into her experience as a finalist on The X Factor USA at the age of 15. This award-nominated show has garnered critical acclaim and showcases Wilson’s storytelling prowess and musical comedy talent. Her performances at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival earned her a Best Newcomer Nomination. Emily Wilson also hosts “Tuesdays at the Red Room“, a weekly comedy show at the “KGB Bar Red Room” in the East Village. This platform features a lineup of talented comedians and friends, adding to the vibrant comedy scene in New York City.

Born into an entertainment family, John H. Higgins is one of four children of Steve Higgins a writer and longtime SNL producer who has been writing on the show since 1995. Growing up in the entertainment industry, he is the nephew of actor David Anthony Higgins and comedy writer Alan J. Higgins. Steve Higgins is also most widely known as the announcer of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
His father Steve Higgins has had a diverse and successful career in the entertainment industry as a writer, producer, announcer, actor and comedian. Steve Higgins parents were Marian Coppola (parents Emma and Eugene Coppola) and Harold Higgins (parents Lester Higgins and Emma Briggs Tolman) who played significant roles in his life and career. Harold served an LDS mission in The Netherlands before he married and later also served in the Army Reserves from 1964 to 1974. Despite facing challenges like the loss of his father in 1979 and his mother in a car accident in 2011, Steve Higgins persevered with resilience and support from his family.
John H. Higgins and Emily Wilson just welcomed a new bundle of joy. Wonder, if the child bears “Double Same Letter Effect” initials? The Same Letter initial of one of the parents? Or If the child’s first or second initial starts with the letter “A”?

Martin M. Herlihy: SNL Writer and Actor
Martin M. Herlihy born September 13, 1998 is a writer and actor known for his work on “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) and as a member of the comedy trio “Please Don’t Destroy”. He attended Ridgefield High School before pursuing higher education at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, where he graduated in 2019. During his time at NYU, Herlihy was actively involved in stand-up comedy with the Astor Place Riots group. Martin M. Herlihy joined SNL as a writer, contributing to the show’s sketches and content is an American writer and comedian part of the sketch comedy trio “Please Don’t Destroy”(alongside John H. Higgins  and Ben T. Marshall). In 2021, for season 47 the trio was hired by Lorne Michaels aka Lorne Lipowitz to write on Saturday Night Live. Their pre-taped sketches have appeared several times throughout season 47.

Martin M. Herlihy is the son of former SNL writer/Adam Sandler collaborator Tim Herlihy, a well-known actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer, and playwright who wrote for SNL show from 1994 – 1999. Tim Herlihy was born in Brooklyn, New York and is a graduate of the New York University School of Law. Upon examining the trio SNL writers Ben T. Marshall, Martin M. Herlihy and John H. Higgins intriguing patterns emerge. Martin M. Herlihy’s lineage from a family of firefighters draws parallels with notable figures like Steve Buscemi, Pete Davidson and Colin Jost suggesting a common thread of service oriented backgrounds among these individuals. On the other hand, John H. Higgins hails from a family with military ties, akin to veterans like Al Franken and Tom Davis, indicating a legacy of service and dedication within his lineage. Interestingly, Ben T. Marshall’s family background diverges from the firefighter and military connections seen in his peers. His family comes from the medical field. While not sure if he is linked to a “TRAFFICKER” family like Higgins and Herlihy. Marshall’s family members exhibit a curious trend of sharing initials with same letter effect just like Higgins and Herlihy. This unique observation hints at a potential influence on Marshall’s path to joining the Comedy Trio.

The notion of individuals being part of a trafficking network based on family categorization and “Same Letter Effect” adds a mysterious layer to the dynamics at play in the entertainment realm. The intricate web of connections and influences within these writers backgrounds sheds light on the diverse paths that have led them to their current roles in comedy and writing at SNL – Saturday Night Live.
Especially, if SNL creator Lorne Michaels aka Lorne Lipowitz had a 50 year head start. Who would question ALL the coincidences?

***Just some food for thought for the comedy trio. Drama / tragedy will follow when you don’t cooperate, don’t do what you are told or stray away from the original program. Without realizing it, you are each others ”Handlers”.
You got the Retired Firefighter , you got the Military Veteran, you got the Lawyer and you got the Doctor, all you’re missing now is the Retired Cop, Teacher and FBI agent….
Think about it guys, you are being played like chess pieces on a chessboard ! WAKE UP !!!
